Further Capacity

In our ongoing commitment to providing as many of you with the service that you require, we have taken on yet another fabricator - Peter Hedges who commenced his employment at CSI on 29th August!

We are also utilizing our facility to have punched and drilled material delivered straight into our factory when the need/facility arises - what this means is that (particularly on the larger jobs) we can continue to maintain our minimal lead times through a combination of minimizing the handling in the factory whilst providing a dedicated, experienced team to undertake and oversee the job as it goes through the works - at the same time we have another team concentrating solely on the "bread and butter" with Ian - our staircase/specials expert devoting his resources to these elements of the job!

Ongoing Success…

Presently we are just finishing off two "quarter million pound jobs" in the works - both of which comprise 2500m2 mezzanines complete with "CSI Firewall" staircase enclosures and One Hour Fire Protection to underside.

Both jobs are for the same Trade client and (from their point of view) the same end user - our ability and willingness to put the jobs through the factory and have the contracts completed on site within 10 weeks (start to finish) went a long way to helping us land the contracts - at the same time we have also knocked out our monthly target throughput with minimal effect upon the quality or lead times!

CSI Firewall…

You may have noticed that the cladding to the staircase structure in the above photo doesn't look like stud and board - that's because it isn't. It is in fact our Firewall product and to give you an idea of some of the advantages of this product, the photo sequence below shows the 9.2m high (6m x 2.4m plan size) towers (2 no.) some six hours following commencement - one tower is virtually built but for "cap" above and cover strips, whilst the other is around 50% complete!

We are near to finalizing the artwork for the CSI Firewall leaflets and we will send these to all of our clients as soon as we take delivery - watch this space!

Contract Appraisal Forms…

…are coming in, but not in every case. We desperately want to know how we are doing so please take a minute to complete them and send them back - if you don't have or receive one then ask us to send one over by fax. Don't forget, there is a draw every two months to reward one client for helping us to monitor our progress - the July/August winner received a solid walnut humidor filled with Cuban and Nicaraguan cigars (don't worry - we did know that the gentleman in question was a cigar smoker!)

and finally…

We are now in the run up to Christmas - traditionally a busy period in the mezzanine industry.
